breaking free: Canon/vera bradley

She is the woman that overcomes obstacles. Her bird form represents her ability to rise above challenges. She is a courageous and confident woman who has persevered through the darkest of times. She offers refuge to those in need and is always willing to take others under her wing.

For this mini mannequin form, the prompt was to design the form with inspiration from Vera Bradley's Carry Our Colors textiles using mostly paper. Any printing we did was done with a Canon printer provided to us for this project. For this design, my partner, Asabea Ayres, and I used the printer to print the feathers on luster and matte paper and print the ivy vines on chiffon.
