Chick-fil-a
When entering a fast food establishment, it is rare that one is able to make themselves comfortable in the space. School cafeterias and dining halls also have the reputation of being sterile and predictable. My goal in designing this space was to combine the atmosphere of a casual dining experience into a faster paced environment. By putting this space within a college dining hall, students have a place to escape school stresses. This space is equipped with all of the spaces students deem necessary for the school day. Students can order at the traditional checkout counter, one of three self-serve kiosks, or the Chick-fil-A One application. Once the order is picked up at the pickup counter, students can keep in touch with campus news and bulletins on the screen located on the back wall. With a variety of table sizes, dining counters with outlets, and two lounges, students get to choose their experience within this Chick-fil-A.
